This CPR-certified lifeguard has her masters in language and literacy, and has been caring for kids for 10+ years while growing up on Long Island. Newly relocated to NYC to be close to her full-time job, she’s kind, reliable and consistent, as you’d expect a Constance to be – but with extra energy and personality, like a Konstance should be. She’s the big sister: Konstance has two sisters; she’s been babysitting her 12-year-old youngest sister since she was born.
Can we play: “Games! All of the kids have such amazing imaginations, and it is exciting to watch them use their imagination and create different worlds/scenarios.”
Haha: “Kids are so honest, so they say funny things all the time. A few weeks ago when I was babysitting a two year old, he kept pointing at the little animal figurines we were playing with and he kept explaining to me that I don’t need to be afraid of the turtle or cat because they don’t sting. I thought this was funny.”
It’s the cheesiest: “My favorite meal to prepare for kids is macaroni and cheese because they love it. When I babysit, the kids usually like to help with the preparation process. They determine when the water is boiling, so we can pour in the macaroni, and then, they like to stir it altogether.”
Kids 💛 Konstance: “I think the kids like my upbeat and energetic personality. I always try to get them excited so they enjoy our time together. I also think they like the way I read stories. I try to make them more interesting by doing voices and asking questions while we read.”
More than the money: “I babysit because I really enjoy spending time with kids. They are very funny, and once they get used to me and realize their parents will come back, they get excited to see me, which is a very rewarding feeling.”
